We have two flying fields:
Our primary field is Anna Airport, a beautiful 1300′ grass airfield with 5 flying stations, a covered shelter, and shade trees.
The field is professionally mowed weekly.
The site is on private land behind a locked gate.
Club members are given the gate combination on request.
Members can fly at any time.
We are developing a new field on the old Oconee County landfill.
The grass is mowed by club volunteers.
The field is on county land. This field is also behind a locked gate. The gate uses the same combination as the Anna Airport field.
Members can fly at any time, but on Sundays avoid loud aircraft from 11 AM to noon and from 6 to 7 PM.
The landfill field has a more open overflight area than the Anna Airport field, making it easier to retrieve downed aircraft.
There are no restroom facilities or electricity at either site, but there are public restrooms in Walhalla.
